A Muslim, Jesse Ventura and Al Franken walk into a bar...

Oh, wait that is Minnesota politics.

My beef with Franken is that he's an hysterical partisan with a nasty tongue. Imagine the Republicans running Rush Limbaugh, not much of a difference!

Is there an historical reference for when politics and entertainment switch roles in society?

Democrats to Set Maximum Pay?

No question about it the successful are fully in the cross hairs of the Democrats legislative cannons.

It is so amazingly clear that some policy wonk has stated that the real way to redistribute income is to make all jobs equal. Punish CEO's and rig things for the unions.

The AP had a story this morning critical of executive pay. One of the articles big examples was the Home Depot severance package debacle. The AP contrasted the $210.00 million SEVERANCE package with Jeffrey Immelt's $3.4 million SALARY over at GE.

Of course they don't mention that many pro basketball and baseball players make much more than the CEO of General Electric, that's okay in the new America, as they provide a real service compared with a nasty, cheating, stealing, CEO.

Everyday I wake up to new Democrat initiatives, de-fund the war, reinstate the ridiculous fairness doctrine aimed at talk radio, capping CEO pay, universal health care. All designed to embolden themselves by fixing the game toward Democrats and their voting base.

A powerful political party mixed with powerful allies in the press can lead to one thing: The lessening of the rights of the people with whom they disagree.

The 800 Pound Gorilla on Climate Change

Here it is folks the one thing no one will mention when discussing "climate change", or without quotes is fine, climate change, or perhaps all caps is appropriate CLIMATE CHANGE.

Anywho, the real problem with climate change is overpopulation.

Scary as can be, but overpopulation is the real issue. If you think people have issues with playing God, wait until we try and tackle this one. Uuuuggh.

Anti-war Cheers

Did anyone else catch the hysterical anger in the anti-war chants this weekend? I must say the anti-war chants from the weekend were quite angry. Actually, scary, "Impeach Bush, Impeach Bush" sounded like 1938 Nazi Germany or any modern Hamas rally.

I don't think our countrymen or anti-war protesters are ANYTHING like those groups. But, the anger displayed in their weekend chanting is surely the seed for mob action.

The thing about the anti-war folk I've never quite understood is that the pre-cursor for Iraq was 9-11. Vietnam had no such preamble. It's as if 9-11 never happened.

I can't stand the war. The President should of anticipated what could of happened; The press pounding negative images, the Democrats using those images to grab Congress and potentially the White House. It's his job to anticipate those things. The Republicans are well aware of the Democrats political game and the mainstream presses bias against American Military action. The Republicans should of anticipated and countered those things or not start the war.

Why Mr. Bush didn't "Gaddafi" Saddam is beyond me.

Regardless, the sheeple yelling "impeach Bush" over and over sounded freaky.

Will McDonald's ban the McRib?

Okay, so China is banning images of pigs in FEAR of Muslim reaction. How long before McDonald's re-thinks the McRib?

McDonalds is a huge symbol of America and all that it stands for. I say the McRib is out by 2010, can't you just see Joe Biden and John Warner offering up a non-binding resolution called "The Fairness in Menus Act".

If you had told me after 9/11 Minnesota would elect a Muslim to Congress in five years I'd be checking blood pressures. Also, Muslims seem to be winning the war in regards to liquor in cabs in Minneapolis. So a ban on the McRib is totally plausible in our upside down world.

Ex-New Yorker to Vote for Giuliani in 2008

For every pro-Obama story the press will have an anti-Rudy story if the former Mayor announces in earnest.

Reducing Giuliani to an evil-no-feeling-prosecutor-911wasn'tthatbigadeal- wife-cheating-guinea-with- no heart will be one of the saddest chapters in American journalism.

Sad to say that the real election looks like Hillary vs. Obama.

I'll vote for Rudy regardless. I moved to NYC under Dinkins and left for California eight years later. Rudy revitalised the city and he could do the same for America.

The republicans right flank, by no means helpful to a moderate Republican, will knock him for his Pro-Choice & Pro-Gay stances (notice the caps, yes they are caps issues now like Iraq War and Civil Rights).

If the Mayor can survive he'll be a fantastic President, if not it'll be the charmless (so far) Mitt Romney vs. anointed candidates A or B.

God, I mean, all knowing orb to you atheists, help us all.

North Carolina, the new Hollywood?

From the Wilmington Star: "Citing the controversy surrounding the Dakota Fanning film Hounddog, the leader of the state Senate Republicans says he wants the government to review scripts before cameras start rolling in North Carolina".

The idea is the brainchild of state Sen. Phil Berger, R-Rockingham, and would apply only to films seeking the state's lucrative filmmaker incentive, which refunds as much as 15 percent of what productions spend in North Carolina.

Mr Berger himself states: "Why should North Carolina taxpayers pay for something they find objectionable?"

Duh, who gets to decide objectionable? You, Mr. Berger?

I think showing a 12 year old getting raped is horrible, but I also believe that the public will vote where it counts by not seeing the film. Again, duh!

Islam rules China

It's the Chinese New Year everybody. It's also the year of the pig. China has been nixing the visual from all ads in FEAR of Muslim reaction. Hmm, Islam is getting progressively more violent and nations are getting progressively more "tolerant" of Muslim anti-social practices. Jews also don't eat pork, but why no fear of their reaction? Muslims make up only 2% of the Chinese population yet Bejing is cowering with fear.

Who is winning this thing again?

Pick up a Wall Street Journal today, they cover the whole story.

Van Halen back with Dave, but who cares?

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal:

"A Van Halen reunion tour, with David Lee Roth back in the fold after 22 years, is in the works, with a Las Vegas launch looking good. A late April date at the Palms' new venue, The Pearl, is "99 percent" likely, a source said."

Question: Does anyone care?

Van Halen was my favorite group growing up but isn't this a little late in the game?

CNN picks up on our story.

CNN now has a "humorous" piece running about Nancy Pelosi's blinking mania. They have finally picked up on a story posted here yesterday morning.

While CNN did everything they could to make Ms. Pelosi's blinking look, well, normal, no one has attempted to explain why someone would blink that way.

See my original post for my thoughts.

If you have any ideas about this please respond here, I'd love to know what people are thinking.

Grey's Anatomy Star to enter Re-ducation, I mean Re-hab

"ABC Tells "Grey's Anatomy" Star To Enter Rehab In Wake Of Anti-Gay Remarks... " Can we say Reeducation camps anyone?

Can the idea of reeducation camps for people that use the "N" word, or now the "F" word, be far off?

Someday soon will someone overheard at a Starbucks uttering "I dislike blacks, Gays, and think global warming is a sham" be sent off to government sponsored reeducation camp?

Obama-care and the Illegals

Hey, do you know why Obama, Hillary and Edwards don't broach the issue of illegals when discussing Universal (Socialist) Health Care?

Because, if they and President Bush have their way there won't be such a thing as an illegal immigrant.

Very scary.

The mainstream press is framing the issue in a way that if you disagree with universal health care you are insensitive and possibly downright evil. What is not talked about is the cost to the taxpayer, illegal immigrants, and those who refuse to take care of themselves. So the question they are posing is not if, but when will UHC be law.

It's funny, I'm not rich and I would love to have someone pay my doctor bills, but something about insane progressive taxation and government decided and provided health care strike me as wrong.

George Bush's Monica

Will Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean become George Bush's Monica Lewinsky? This issue isn't dieing and seems to be gaining steam.

As reported via many media outlets President Bush and his spokesman Tony Snow have so far ignored the calls for a pardon by many members of Congress and society as a whole. Tony Snow has gone as far as subtly berating reporters who even bring up the issue. CNN and much of the mainstream press has yet to weigh in in earnest on other side of the issue.

This could be a time when Herr Bush loses what's left of his conservative base. Does anyone really believe these two men should be in prison for shooting a drug dealer in the ass?

Monica hurt Bill, will Jose hurt George?

So that's where our deficit dollars go...

Ever wonder where all those US dollars go when they leave our shores via Wal Mart's cash register?

From the New York Times this week regarding Macao's growth and China's addiction to the crap tables:

"Some of Macao’s highest rollers have been caught gambling with [Chinese] government money or with cash siphoned off from state-owned companies rather than their own funds. In 2005, for instance, Beijing said that more than 8,700 “party members and cadres” were punished for gambling. "

We all know Harry Reid used $120,000 in campaign funds for Vegas stays, but 8,700 Chinese statesmen punished, wow.

Could a gambling boom stave off WWIII?

Ted Kennedy-ism and Minimum Wage Bill

Today, Ted Kennedy had this to say about the stalled Minimum Wage Bill:

"Why can't we do just one thing for minimum wage workers, no strings attached, no giveaways for the powerful?"

The bill has stalled because some Senators believe that small businesses, I mean cantina's with 20 employees, should be given a bit of a tax break to offset the minimum wage hike.

The fact that Teddy refers to a small restaurateur as the "powerful" is beyond me. Am I missing something here? Is Mr. Kennedy saying all business owners fall into the category of the "power" class?

Nancy Pelosi's Blinking Mania

Last night during the SOTU address Nancy Pelosi (congrats on being the first woman behind the Prez!) blinked like a mad woman at any remark the President made that is at odds with her public positions.

One needs to ask why. Was she infuriated at Mr. Bush's callous insistence on sending troops into harm's way for political purposes (her analysis not mine)? Could it be that some part of her knows the President is right and the blinking is a result of that conflict? Another possibility? Plastic surgery post-op eyelid freeze?

Whatever it was, Madam Speaker was having a hell of a time with her peepers.
